Three-part session designed to improve players’ ability to make supporting runs and then score.
This three-part session develops players’ attacking and scoring ability. It works on decision-making on the ball, supporting runs, using a variety of finishing in and around the goal, and individual and team combinations to score.
Set up an area that best suits the age and ability of players. Place one scoring gate on each side of one end line and a counter gate on the opposite end line.

Players may be challenged in this practice by limiting the number of passes that can be made towards goal between the two attackers. This enforces quicker attacking play, more forward thinking, dribbles and runs.
Encourage players to understand the appropriate timing of forward runs to support, angles and distance of support.
Decision of passer to pass or dribble: If space is available, can you dribble at speed to engage a defender before deciding to pass?
Encourage body positioning that allows for a positive first touch and communication as a passing option.
