This three-part session develops players’ 1v1 skills and confidence, encouraging them to create space to receive the ball under pressure from a defender. The nature of the session allows players to experience pressure from behind, to the side and from the front.
Mark out an area relative to the age, ability and number of your players. Divide the pitch into wide channels and central thirds. Split players into two equal teams and allocate positions.
Players are locked into their area and can only move areas if they dribble into one. Players can only tackle their direct opponent. All other normal match rules apply.
Players are no longer locked into zones but can still only tackle their direct opponent.
